Vision Originality Technique ImpactFirstly, I have to say I love this, its beautiful!
I love blossoms but I'm trying to not be biased. XD I have some by me that I really need to take photos of but the weather is horrid.
Anywho. I love everything about this, but as with anything, theres always room for improvement!
I'll start with commenting on your shallow depth of feild. Good choice! It adds to the impact! However, I'd say it'd be even better if it was just a little bit wider so that all of the pollen stems, or whatever they're called *useless at flowers* are in focus.
The composition? Its beautiful. I love how the twig on the left is right on the first line if you work in thirds.
Colours? Wow, I was surprised to read you didn't do any post processing.
I have to admit, this lacks originality, however, in my eyes, you get more points for doing it all with-camera. Rather than post-processing colours.
For me, it has strong impact! very strong in fact. But that might be bias towards my love for blossoms. I love all of the shapes, the bold colours, the contrast, right down to the flower itself. However, I've seen many similar before and that does bring down the impact a little bit. Its not the same as seeing something for the first time.
